I mean, good lord! I should be able to convert something to greyscale with the click of one button! I should not have to try to choose the right shade of grey, and hope that it's not trying to be RGB and is willing to be Black and White, and then run around with a fill tool! _

It is Tuesday, and already I can barely keep my eyes open. My body's natural sleep patterns do their best to reassert themselves on the weekend. I despise that the working world is run so clearly on a pattern that my body doesn't like. I have found that if you are not a morning person, the world looks down on you. It pisses me off to no end. _

I am, and have been for ages, incredibly picky at pens. My preference is towards refillable fountain pens, but that seemed like an extraordinary amount of work for work, so I went out and bought some fairly decent roller ball pens. Typical ball point mens make my wrist hurt, I have to press down so hard. I am now down to one, and it is running dry. I am sad. I will have to go out and get more. _

After frantic phone calls about "broken" appliances that turned out to not actually be broken, I am quite relieved that the Comcast guy actually did find something wrong with our cables that he had to fix. It is, apparently, now all fixed. _

Our new virus scanner picked up more than 31000 dangerous files on my computer, all of which were in Norton's Quarantine folder. This struck me as odd and unusual. They were all, originally, cookies from Firefox. I've had Firefox on my computer for like two weeks. Is this, like, remotely normal? No one else in my office had a similar problem. _

The moral of yesterday is that I am, in fact, addicted to caffeine. I drank no coffee in the morning, as there was no cream. And I was barely functional. I couldn't remotely type. By the afternoon, I had the sort of headache that felt like my skull was being stabbed from the inside. I'd been thinking about going to the gym, but all I had the energy to do was curl up in a ball on my couch and watch videos on my laptop. I was unsure if it was my sinuses, the weather change, the lack of caffeine, or a combination of the three. And today I ran into Giant before I went to work, to pick up cream and tissues before going to work, and I feel much much better. _

Our new virus scanner at work apparently found Norton's Quarantine folder and recognized everything within as a threat. Which made for quite the fun scan, let me tell you. _

Burgandy and flamy red and orange do not go, whatever I may have been thinking when I grabbed my sweater this morning. Granted, I was thinking "it's going to be 70 something, I'm not wearing my coat, and this sweater is right here" but still. This is why I need a simple black sweater. _

I went home last night, and my internet was running like molasses. It was odd, though, if I ran a speed test, my download speed was great, it was just my upload speed apparently didn't exist. I called Comcast. We spent about an hour on the phone, I swear the guy didn't believe me. At some point he said "well, maybe it's just the website you're going to is having problems." Says I: "I'm going to Google. I can't even search it, cause it doesn't load." At which point he kind of went "huh." They are sending a technician to my house on Tuesday. I may very well spend far too much time on the internet, but I feel odd without it. _

I have this nearly Pavlovian response to it being 5 and hearing the elevator go at which point I desperately need to use the bathroom, just as the cleaning lady starts cleaning. It's totally absurd. It's gotten to the point where if it's almost 5, I'll go to the bathroom, to avoid waiting for her to finish or going downstairs. _

I took the BBC's how well do you know what happened in the world this week quiz, and I got them all right! I'm quite proud of myself. Generally, I get like two right cause I knew, and then I make a few random guesses. This week the only one I had to guess was about what early Europeans would not have eaten. _

So, yesterday at work, we had to update my Java and put it on Sun's instead of Microsoft's. I hadn't even known Microsoft made a Java. We went to the website to download it, and there was one version for Linux, two for Solaris, and one for Windows. There was none for the Mac. I got very upset. Why two for Solaris? Who uses Solaris anyway? I didn't even know it still existed. And why wasn't it there for the Mac? _
