Most of my socks, except the realy thick ones that you don't really want to wear (you'd be amazed how many spellings I went through on that word) unless there's snow on the ground, are wearing holes in them. It sucks. I need socks. _

I feel like I ought to know what I want to do in grad school, and I'm afraid I don't really. I feel like St. John's left me largely unprepared in the knowledge of what people study when they study classics. _

I have this interesting interaction with my queue on netflix. I constantly put things on there, and then throw them up to the top. I keep the top ten organized, but as Connor once poitned out, I really only try to keep up with the first three. I organize it constantly. When something has the audacity to rise up within the ranks of the top ten that I don't actually want to watch, I will throw it to 50. 50 is a random number that I will type in. The TV show stuff really confuses the whole thing entirely, cause Molly and I are currently watching Sex and the City and Smallville, and next week there will be more West Wing for me, so I will have to figure out how I'm doing the TV show movie ratio again. _

One of the perks of living in what I'm told is the third largest city on the Easter seaboard is it only takes a day for a movie to get to or from Netflix. _

One of the perks of Lemony Snicket is that there are more than 5 books, and they come out fairly close together. _

I'm not entirely clearn on why I read Lemony Snicket. i mostly wind up mad at him when the book is over. I should probably not read them as they come out, but rather wait until they are all out, so that I don't have to deal with stupid cliffhangers. _

My stepdad has this thing I entirely don't understand where he has the mouse tracking set very very low, so you wind up moving it way m ore than seems remotely normal. It drives me nuts. I changed it, and he changed it back. _

The big problem I'm having with Safari is that everytime I hit tab enter in gmail, it tries to discard my message. Which drives me nuts, cause I adore gmail's keyboard shortcuts. _

Also, if I had money, I would buy myself The Grim Grotto for my plane ride to New Hampshire and for taking a midterm. Sometimes I think I went to St. John's to avoid things like exams. No, that wasn't the only reason. But it definately was a plus for St. John's. Dear god, I hate these things. Maybe I'll buy the Snicket anyway. I wish I weren't broke. I got The 6th Sense from Netflix last week cause I was feeling like I needed something totally bizarre and brain-weirding, but then I didn't really feel like I had the time to watch an actual movie, and so I watched the Sex and the City and the Smallville, but I've been saving The Sixth Sense for tomorrow after my classes, and after happy hour. _

It's interesting to look at the AIM profiles on my cousins. D___ and E___ (who are brother and sister, and are cousins on my mom's side of the family) often have "vote Kerry" stuff in their profiles. Whereas C___ (and, granted, C___ is the only one in his family who is ever online) (C___ is from my dad's side of the family) has "vote Bush" stuff up. The stuff he had when I looked at it today pissed me off, as it also included a rant against what he saw as liberals position against Bush, but I think he was confused about it in general. But I figured it was best to not talk politics with him, cause we'd wind up nowhere but frustrated with each other. _
