Yay! It's not supposed to rain! Last night's fireworks more than made up for the fact that it might rain them out tonight, but still. It'll be awesome if there's another showing like last night's. _

I found this computer last night which looked absolutely wonderful, but it's gone now. _

I feel like I did a stealth hit of Annapolis, when I went to get Brianne. I just showed up at her door, got her, went to the grocery stores and went home. I feel a little guilty about not stopping to see anyone else. I had this thought that if I couldn't find her apartment, I was going to go ask Roy for help, mostly because she was near Roy's apartment, and I don't know where Libby lives anymore. _

Brianne and I went on a walk, which wound up going down this road with a graveyard and no artificial lights. It was all misty and kind of creepy. But really pretty. And Ellie had a blast. _

I described our neighbours fireworks as like the explosions on Star Wars before Star Wars sucked. And they were. They were these totally amazing things that could probably have paid for my school and rent next year. _

Our neighbours do some really amazing fireworks. Totally amazing. Like thousands of dollars to put them on.

God bless the Chinese. _

I love my computer. I adore it. I have decided that I need to get a new computer before going back to school, because my purple thing is old and is on it's last legs and does have less than 2 gigs of storage space left, and it's a G3, for god's sake, and you can only get information off of it if you print it out or if it's online. I want a laptop, and I had been having great internal debates on the Mac/PC front, and I think sitting down to actually write the two pages I had to write for Penn put the nail in the coffin for the PC thing. Although it would be nice to have access to all the programs that we have around the house, rather than to really Word. And...um...give me a sec...Civ 3, the Sims and SimCity 3000. Connor has some really great program. Fuck, now I'm torn again.

Help. I need advice. What should I do? What kind of computer should I get? _

I came up with this theory, today, while alphabetizing something, that James Potter (it had to be particularly James, and not Lily) was related in some way to Nicholas Flamel, and that is part of the secret of their wealth, and why in an early version of the books the philosopher's stone was in the Potters' vault. And I think it's probably wrong, but I felt the need to put it up, just in case it's right. _

I have debates, in my head, about the merits of decorating in cream-and-green vs the merits of decorating in white-and-blue. Green has long been my colour, but I am sort of wanting the very clean crisp look of white and light blue with wood. _

It would be an interesting move, which I sure will never happen, if Harry Potter 6 just appeared in bookstores one day. Like, they sent out however many they thought would sell, but they just popped up. Like normal books. Completely unexpected, like, rather than hype going for a while with everyone knowing the day the book would come out. I would be extremely curious to see how the world reacted. _

Yesterday, I finished the last of the Harry Potters in my great Harry Potter reread. And I was just about to settle down and start thinking about something else, and she goes and announces the title of the next book. _

I feel like I'm playing fucking Myst. Not that I ever actually played Myst, but my dad talked about sitting there and methodically going through that door with the lock until he got the right combination. Fucking bricks. _

Filing is ungodly boring in that sort of ungodly boring where it doesn't matter what you're actually thinking about, because it takes almost no brain power to remember the alphabet. So I sit there and daydream and put things in alphabetical order. And go...la la la...And then I go off and eat lunch and read my book (but at work I'm reading The Lions of Al Rassan while I eat, cause it's much longer and denser than Chamber of Secrets. But it isn't grabbing me like The Summer Tree did, although it did take a while with The Summer Tree.) _
