Oh, guys, I met this Sherry girl, the one who has been called Alex's girlfriend. She apparently is not. She is gay. She just apparently has a different way of getting him to stop hitting on her than everyone else. And apparently it was a stuffed animal, not a girl that he was caressing at Mabel. _

Greg Brown is great. I love his live album. He tells great stories. Some of the stories remind me of Shadow. _

My uncle has me on some address block thing that he sends announcements too. I get all these invitations to go see his band play in Philly, and so on. Usually I just ignore them. Tonight, however, I got one inviting me to some Green Party fundraising party. I sort of looked at it, thought, well, maybe if it's over Long Weekend, I'll go, it'll make him happy. It's not. It's on a seminar night, at that, from 8-11. But it's during a Capital Seminar, so I emailed my uncle to tell him that. I think he'll get a kick out of it. _

I deal exceptionally poorly with anything like suspense. For a bit years ago, this was fine, cause I could always figure out what was going to happen, and that was fine and dandy. I checked the end of War and Peace to see who Natasha would end up marrying when she was flirting with Boris. That's not even really suspense. _

Today in math class, Mr. Beall made some comment about aliens. He has done this several other time, always in jokes, but someone said, "you know, with you working for NASA and all, we're going to start to wonder about the aliens you keep mentioning." _

I succesfully threw three bowls yeterday. I currently seem unable to throw a mug. Ah well, I think I need bowls more anyway. I tried to make a plate, which was harder than anything virtually flat has any right to be. Also, in an attempt to trim the bottom of one of last weekends bowls, I popped the bottom entirely, cause it was too dry, and I let it get too thin. I finished , which was...not nearly as interesting as Wicked. Iris didn't have whatever it was that compelled you to Elphie. Although I did think the ending was better done, as the ending of Wicked left me sitting there going...um...what just happened? Where the ending of this one held my attention much better. Dr. Who is still delightful, what with still doing the Key to Time, and so Douglas Adams is still involved in it, and the kick-ass Romana is still there, as well as K-9 before his voice changed, and we all got a bit annoyed with him _

Cassie and I sat down at lecture last night, in this nice seat, in the middle of a row, towards the back, and watched as so many of our friends came in and didn't sit down with us. We felt all sad and unloved. _

My favourite pen is lost. Last night I put up a note about it in the coffeeshop, but I doubt that will get anywhere. So I also started looking online to see if I can purchase one online, or if I should wait till I go home, and buy one there. I found them for sale through yahoo shopping, and then in a bunch of places in the UK and in India. Course, the ones in India and the UK have more options, like nib sizes, and colours. _

I'm not going to blog about the GRE right now. Just so's people know. However:

I've forgotten how to write in cursive, which they made us do when we were signing in, having not done so since junior high.

I only got one research question thing, and it was the writing one. It wasn't as bad as I'd thought it might be. _

I don't care that the precept choices were due yesterday, and that people other than Cassie probably forgot to hand theirs in, and they're probably still waiting for people to hand in the last few things. I handed mine in a few weeks ago, and would like to know which one I'm in. _
