It's not really Byrd's fault that female sopranos are trying to sing what was probably written for a boys' choir. It is, however, Mr. Kalkavage's fault that weare trying to do so, and we can really hardly be blamed for mostly not being able to sing the lower notes.

I want to go to some sort of real news website and see something pleasant. Something that isn't about more outbreaks of anthrax or what's going on in Afgahnistan. I'm not saying that I don't want that there, I just want SOMETHING else thre as well. Recently, all I have seen that's pleasant is that the 75th anniversary of the publication of Pooh is this Friday, that some physicsts did something cool with matter that won them the Noble prize, and I read about the Nobel Peace Prize, but I seem to have completely forgotten what the winner did.

My plans for reading my book were banished by the discovery of a massive, almodts mouse size cockroach on my walls, and after screaming, and getting two people in my room who were willing to smash it, which I can't deal with myself, but it disappearing, I hid in Katherine and Tracy's room until Tracy and I went off to watch Dr. Who. I think I quite like the third Doctor. And he has a lovely car.

Well, I went to the drag ball, this is the first time I'v done so, which is kind of sad, cause I'm a junior, which really is why I went at all. And I realized that it was basically like a coffeeshop party with people in drag and without beer, and I got bored and decided that my book for an hour and then Dr. Who would be a nicer way to spend the evening, and so I left.

I find that my writing style, particularly when IÕm trying to figure out what IÕm trying to say as IÕm writing, gets all sorts of clauses and gets really really long. I wonder if this is from translating Cicero at too young of an age.

My mom cut off a few inches of my hair this weekend, cause the ends were all nasty and felt like they were made of straw, and so she cut it off to where it felt relatively healthy. And now my hair does feel lovely and healthy, but I am still distinctly aware that there are a few missing inches, and that the ends of my hair are no longer touching the waist of most of my pants, even though I have been assured by all the grownups in my house that my hair really does look lovely and you can hardly tell that it's shorter.
