The trick with the food in the emergency kit is that it needs to be sufficiently unappetizing that you aren't tempted to class 'not wanting to go grocery shopping' as an emergency.

An amusing misplaced modifier, from an article so pointless that I'm reluctant to link: "Their intense rivalry pushed each to heights of constitutional greatness."
Though there's a serious point here. It's reached a point where it's easy to mistake the constitution of the country for the constitution of a handful of judges. This is exactly why I don't like the cult of the Supreme Court. If it takes geniuses to interpret the Constitution, the Constitution is catastrophically flawed. The more room a law leaves for incandescent greatness on behalf of the lawyers interpreting it, the worse it is. Though, to be fair, the Constitution isn't as bad as this chap makes it sound. There is a culture of circular sycophancy in academics, where the participants push one another to heights of absurdly flattering prose.
