Tori's Bloglet

I'm a jittery and wired. I'm typing faster than I have in months and months. I got a statement from the Mutual Fund which I only just got signed back into my name, and I'm feeling so totally much less worried about money than I have been for like a year. I only drank two cups of tea this morning, and I feel like I drank two venti frappucinos with extra espresso. _

Okay, so, Azkaban is somewhere in the North Sea, north of Scotland. Hogwarts is in Scotland (actually, is it clear that Hogwarts is in Scotland in the books? they film it in Scotland, and I placed it nearish to Skye in my head, cause the train from Oban to...wherever you take the ferry to get to Skye...is where they tend to film the Hogwarts Express, and I nearly went to Skye instead of Mull because that part of the track looks so pretty in the movies, but it's like another four hours). The Dursley's live...near London? So, Sirius, on his way to Hogwarts, went from north of Scotland, to somewhere nearish London to see Harry before heading off to the Scotish Highlands to make sure he could get Peter? On foot, mind you. No trains, no plains, presumably no apparating (although, that might make it make more sense). Does this strike anyone else as dumb? Connor and Jamie said I thought too much and should let it go. _

Jamie has this theory she just came up with that part of the reason Harry is so whiney and angry is his connection to Voldemort. _

It is summer, and I only want to wear skirts. I'm in love with my short flouncy linen skirt from the Gap, which they no longer sell, so I'm harrassing Jamie to take me to JoAnn fabric so I can buy the fabric to make myself lots. _

I mad hundreds of these over the past week. They look like something from Ikea, sitting up there on a plastic deli thing, all yellow and blue. _

Marija, who never paid for her own gas, spent hundreds of dollars on clothes. What this leaves us with, now that she's gone, is lots of catalogues. _

A bug fell out of my hair. It was gross. I am feeling completely paranoid now. Ick ick. I think I'm going to go read Harry Potter now. I've been going back and forth between Harry Potter and Sailing to Sarantium but Sarantium takes more brainpower to read than Potter. _

I tried playing with podcasts today, and I thought, oh, that will be people reading Shakespeare. But no, it was some guy reading an essay about the earl of Oxford. _

Have any of you both read Howl's Moving Castle and seen the movie? If yes, is it worth seeing? Our independant place is showing it with subtitles. _

Way #1 to tell that you've been switching back and forth between computers too much: when you're at a Mac, and you try to select a whole bunch of stuff in a row, you hit shift, and get confused when it only does the first one and the last one, and then you use the PC again, and expect it to act like a Mac... Actually, did they switch that with OSX? I use 9.2 as the latest at work, and who knows what as the lowest (it's on a Quadra, the trash can get's wider, rather than just having the lid pop up, and menus are all pull down, not click down, any guesses?) _

The best part of eating breakfast at sugar shacks in New Hampshire is they give you real maple syrup for pancakes. The one we went to this morning had maple sugar candy out instead of mints. _

Our target market, my sister says I have to tell people, is the like 30-40 year old women who come to football games for the colleges they went to. Or, at any rate, want to show school spirit. So. Um. Right. Not necessarily what you would buy, as most (if not all) of you are not that audience. _

We are trying to figure out which of these earrings (now it's the earrings, not the pictures) are likely to sell the best. So, I'm looking for opinions on which look like the prettiest earrings.
