I got a letter from Katherine today, with pressed African flowers, which was probably the only good thing to happen to me today. (Some Smallville showed up from Netflix, and Entertainment Weekly, but that's not so exciting.)

I also ran a stop sign (in the sort of way where you don't know the road you're on, and you assume the traffic coming the other way also has a stop sign and they don't) while driving Molly's car, and it's all nasty looking. _

My headphones from Apple shed those little covering things constantly. Are they necessary? I only have one left, and I don't really know what the point of them is anyway. _

When I finally got around to making my bed, I found out that there was mouse shit all over my blanket. This really grossed me out, and I don't really know what to do. Also, they ate my SnowFlake bars. _

So, I sat perched on the side of the hottub to get in, and it burnt my toes. So I continued to sit there waiting for it to cool down a bit. Eventually, I looked at the thermometer, which maxes at 120 degrees farenheit. And it was clearly beyond the the top. So it is sitting there, open, letting heat disapate, cause i want to get in, but I also like my toes. _

Last week, we ate lunch with my uncle Walter and two of his friends from high school. One of them is working on a masters in public health so he can teach AIDS prevention in developing countries as something other than a Peace Corps Volunteer. It sounded really cool. It made me miss Katherine and the Eagles very much. Everytime I think about them, I feel all guilty and over-priveledged. _

As I walked my dogs today, we went on a different walk than we usually go on, and it took forever, cause I only had vague ideas of where I was going. I was convinced that at least one of the roads I went on was going to have cross roads, but they didn't. It was ridiculous. It also meant that, as I wanted to go to the post office, and there were dogs at one house that got very excited by my dogs, so excited the woman in the house yelled at me (one of her dogs had a cast, and as they were all wagging their tales, I stood still cause I thought maybe the dogs wanted to sort of meet mine), that I walked them down a twisty main road in that way that roads are in the country (it wouldn't count as a main road anywhere else, but it definately does around there) which has no shoulder and people drive to fast. We walked in fields. Anyway, as we crossed it when we came to it, I suddenly realized that there was no weight on Ellie's leash. I looked down, and she had managed wrench her head out of her collar. So I reached down and grabbed her by the skin of her neck and dragged her across the road, which she didn't like at all. So then I picked her up and held her for a while, and she seemed mostly okay. Those two dogs adore me today, though, cause they got to go on such a long walk. _

My biggeset gripe with Phantom was the actor they had playing the Phantom. Why, oh, why, did they choose him? You'd think, oh, the man can't sing all the notes in "Music of the Night" let's cast someone else. Or something. He was young, and despite the icky half face was handsome. They should've used Michael Crawford or something.

Also, the chandelier came down entirely at the wrong point in the movie, and it distressed me to no end. _
