At Giant they were selling rosemary shaped like Christmas trees. It was the coolest thing ever. I was going to buy one, but my sister got to them first, and by the time I was over there, they were all dried out. _

Finally, my room is a nice temperature. I left my window open while I was away for Thanksgiving, and it got cold outside, so now it is nice and chilly in my room for the first time since I stopped turning on the AC. _

My books arrived while I was away. I was really hoping they would get here before I left, but ah well. I did pretty much no homework over break, and I feel guilty about not feeling guilty about it, and worried about class on Tuesday. I'm debating the merits of Perseus. _

I used the end of the bottle of my wonderful shampoo today, and since it's always nice to switch shampoos, I went out to buy some of the other wonderful shampoo at Rite Aid. It was way expensive, and it made me wish I'd bought it last week when it was on sale. So I didn't get curl gunk, which I did need, which made me sad. _

We should all write to Netflix to tell them to get Faerie Tale Theatre. Cause Faerie Tale Theatre was awesome. _

I am so tired. I am looking forward to an actual Christmas break from school. With no paper, no huge long book, hanging over my head. _

Sam is a good name. You can have Sam for Samwise Gamgee or you can have Sam for Sam Seabourne and they are both cool. Therefore, Sam is a good name. _

DC, who would not allow Neil Gaiman to portray Clark Kent/Superman having a dream where he was dressed as Clark, but his cape was hanging out because it doesn't fit into the Superman mythos, allowed Keanu Reeves to be John Constantine. _

So, I had pretty much stopped watching Saturday Night Live except on really rare occasions, until this fall, when, for whatever reason, I started watching it again. Last night was...Well, in general, the humour itself was nothing exceptional. But U2 was the music, and U2 is awesome. And then Bono decided that the end should be like a special mini concert, and that was totally awesome, and I was very glad that I kept watching through the end. _

It was free chocolate sample night at Trader Joe's. They were making chocolate pancakes in the back to demonstrate their chocolate pancake mix (it was very tasty, as was the apple cider they had with it) and up front they were sampling truffles. Mmm. Truffles. And she forgot to ring up my Nutella, which I didn't realize till I got home. _

Last night, at the incredibly bad movie, there was a trailer for the Hitchhikers' Guide movie. I was struck remarkably by this silly little nothing of this teaser trailer they have out. It takes a remarkable lot on faith of its audience. I think it might not suck. I will be very happy if it doesn't suck. But, anyway, I think it's relying a lot on you to know see the Earth get blown up and then have the words "Don't Panic" on the screen. And, eventually, to form some stars into a "constellation" of that thumb in the circle that was always on the cover. Before ever saying anything about what the movie is going to be. The people I went to the movie with had never read the book. They were mystified. I tried to explain after the movie what it's about, but it's hard to explain without it sounding really stupid. _

Has anyone ever made a pecan pie? My mom has put us kids in charge of making desserts for Thanksgiving, and said "by the way, my father always wants pecan pie." This terrifies me a little. I've always thought they looked ridiculously complex. Are they hard? _
