Today I found a long sleeved green shirt, that wasn't either too bright, or too olive, or too mint. It's not quite forest, but it's a fairly nice green, and this makes me happy. I got one in green and one in black. And Ben Franklins Craft store sells my favourite yarn, although they only had it in worsted, and I wanted the bulky or chunky or whichever it is they sell. _

So, I went out and ran errands, and took rather a while doing it, and when I got home, there was stuff of mine all over the floor, spread there by monster dogs, and one of them had pooped on my pile of dirty clothes. I'm very mad at them. _

In my quest for a functional version of Quicktime for this computer, I wound up with iTunes for Windows. Which, for whatever reason (possibly the thought that nobody else will use iTunes other than me, so my playlists will not transform into Guster or Eminem or Dylan) I am now using iTunes. I find this amusing. _

I found a website that sells Turkish tea, which I have been looking for for a very long time, pretty much since I got home from Turkey and realized that the stuff couldn't be bought in the states. It also sold the cute little glass tulip cups, and a tea strainer over the cup thing, and the tiny spoons, and all sorts of other things. I bought two pounds of tea, four cups (two with gold and two without) four spoons and one tea strainer over the cup thing. It also sold teapots like they use, with the big one you just put water in, and the little one you put on top and make the tea concentrate, but they were like $35, so I decided against one of those. Today I went to Reading China and Glass and bought one of those tea pots with a french press in side, and then came home and found a Turkish teapot on ebay, and bought it for something like $10 with shipping. And, if it weren't for the shit hitting the fan with Marija last night, I'd be happy as a clam about all this tea stuff. _

Is there such a thing as Disk Doctor for the PC? Probably half of our programs are running funny, and it all started after the power went off and killed the computer. _

I fell totally in love with this shirt when my sister and I were doing virtual shopping. It had been $70, and was marked down to $13, and I decided to wait til after my pay check to buy it, and now they're all sold out, and I'm all disappointed. _

Our power went out last night at around 9:45, and only just turned back on. I slept in front of the woodstove, cause it was freezing in my room. I woke up the first time the logs burned themselves almost out, and added more, but missed it the second time around. _

At some point in the middle of the night, Marija came downstairs, with a candle, to ask me if I thought HACC would still be open today, because it's so windy. (It really is extremely windy: at some point, I thought I heard the lid of the hottub getting thrown off.) I sort of blinked at her for a while, cause I was really really tired and she woke me up, and she was standing there with a candle, and I said "is the power on?" and she said "no, it's off." And I said, "I really have no idea how to find out if HACC is open, then" cause all I could think of were computers and phones, and our phone doesn't work without power, and neither does the internet. So she said "could I just skip school, and say it was cause of the weather?" And we decided that was okay. And now I'm really curious as to whether or not they closed. _

Marija has very dim views of Canadian French and Pennsylvania Dutch. I have attempted to explain that they aren't really the same language as the French spoken by people in France, or as German as spoken by Germans, and so therefore they are perfectly valid languages, but I don't think she believes me. _

We put decals on tiles today in my pottery class. I was doing things like cutting out bits of clip art, then the fancy special instructor lady from out town walked by and said "sometimes I like to just cut strips and make geometrical shapes out of them." And I thought "huh." And I'd been thinking about and playing with the Golden Spiral a lot, so I cut out a bunch of strips of what had once been an airplane, and laid down the squares, and then I put lines in, from one corner to another in each square, cause it looked really empty. _

My brother set up one those links at the top of your window (not the very very top) and the one right about where I always click to type in the URL box links to the Philiadelphia Eagles page. It's so annoying. I mean, it would be annoying if it were something like google, or yahoomail, but it sucks the most that way. _
