So, we were sitting here this evening, and we were talking about Hobbes, and how bitter he was. And I said that the end of The Leviathan was really funny. And Connor has already determined that everyone at St. John's is nuts, so he just sort of ignored it, and Dan flipped out that I thought anything in The Leviathan was funny, so I went off in search of my book. I don't know where any of my Junior year books are, so I found it on Moss's page, and printed it out. And now he's trying to help Marija do her homework. _

Today I watched people blow glass. There were two of us who wanted to make clay, and they were all over the area we make clay (the two spots are really one spot, and so they had every right to be there, besides which it was really cold outside, and it was warm by their fires), and we stood there and watched this guy work really hard on this thing, and then it fell of the stick thing. I really want to learn how to do that (not the making glass fall of stick, the other part.) _

My mom and Chris went to see A Winter's Tale last night, and apparently they didn't dress someone up as a bear, they just played growling noises. Also, they apparently did it totally not funny, and Chris even cried. _

The subtle Neo as Christ stuff in the first movie worked well, but it got so over the top in the last two movies it was ridiculous. _

I was vaguely annoyed with them for making any sequels at all to The Matrix. I liked the ending the way it was, with the viewer being the one left to speculate as to what would happen next. And having seen both sequels, I wish they'd kept away from it. The only parts of the last movie I liked were while Neo was still in his coma. I found Smith interesting in the first movie, but as the movies progressed I found him more and more tiresome, and the whole fight at the end of the movie was just extremely lame. _

It's the sort of rainy day that makes me want to curl up and drink tea and watch fluff on TV and eat cookies. And then have soup, but unfortunately for soup (or cookies) I will actually have to cook. _

The New Yorker review of Matrix Revolutions was intersting, cause it seemed like they couldn't give away plot points, so they talked about other stuff. It had this cute bit where it talked about the massive amounts of people who will see it, talk about the philosophy, but never read any philosophers. _
