I am nearly finished with my green sweater. I got sick of the baskets of clean clothes around my room and was putting them all away, and found another ball of yarn, which made me very happy. So I finished the sleeve I was working on, and now all I have to do is sew it together and put on the button border thing. The sewing it together part is one of the worst parts of making a sweater, though, nad I have to do that before I can make the button border band thing. _

Both of Cassie's Sim children took much longer to grow up then they ought to. The most recent one was awake for 12 hours wherein it ought to have grown up, but it didn't. _

One of my biggest problems with this weather (this is after such complaints as it's just to warm, and it isn't killing bugs) is that I've been very very allergic, more so than I usually am in Decemeber, and I think it's cause of the heat. _

So, I was eating a tangerine at lunch, and spitting out all these seeds (I think the piece of fruit had more seeds than fruit) and had this thought that with all the seeds, I could grow a tree. Now, I've had this thought with apples before, but never with tangerines. So I kept some seeds, and have them in a cup with a damp paper towel, and we'll see what happens. _

My sister got me a Greek-Latin dictionary today (it does Greek to Latin, or vice-versa, or both) as a Christmas present. (Yes, she told me about it.) It was printed in the 1800's. Not the most useful dictoinary in the world, considering the sorry state of my Latin, but still a damn cool thing to have around. _

There's going to be no snow when we go skiing, I just know it. (I looked at weather.com, and while they aren't predicting that week yet, it's hanging around 40 for the next week. _

I think Mr. Barbera liked my lab paper! I'm not entirely sure, but the comments seem to lead in that direction. _

I have run out of green yarn for my green sweater. Either that, or there is another ball of it somewhere. I'm hoping for another ball somewhere, becaues I bought the yarn about a year ago in Ithaca, and the chances of me being able to find more of the same dye-lot is really slim. If I could figure out what the dye-lot was. Of course, the thought that there might be another ball around here is disheartening, cause I haven't a clue where it would be. _

Perhaps I ought to follow Martin's example and swear off the Sims and Snood and not read the blogs more than once a day until I finish my horrible paper. I probably also add to that that I will not check my email as compulsively as I generally do. _

In this part of the country, there is no excuse for them to tell me that it will be 72 tomorrow. That's absurd. I wants snow and ice and winter. _

You would think that since I haven't taken Latin in five years, I'd remember that "timor" in Greek means honour, rather than "fear" as it is in Latin. It seems as though the words are related, and this has always struck me as interesting. _

Mr. Higuera and Rachel Seay played the Battle Hymn of the Republic of Letters (him on the electric guitar and her on the Bosendorfer) before the silly motion sickness inducing French movie the film society showed. The song, and the champagne and sushi afterwards (even though the champagne was warm and a bit sweet) made the two dollars to get into the show totally worth it. _

Just woke up, looked at my alarm clock, saw that it was 9 and wondered why it hadn't gone off and was panicked cause I was going to be late for lab. Started to get dressed really quickly, then began to wonder why the bells hadn't gone off, and realized that it was Sunday. _

Hayden is an incredibly dizzy-ing waltzer. He does that maybe-it's-Viennese spinning waltz thing, but he spins it much tighter than most people I've danced it with (Gus, weird strange alumni) and somehow that makes it much more dizzying. It isn't as though he ought t o be spinning any faster, I don't know. _

I have realized that part of the reason why the weather was depressing me was not just that the skies were grey, cause as I said, I like grey skies, but I had gotten used to rainbows dancing around my room for most of the afternoon, and with the constant grey skies, there were no rainbows dancing around making me happy. _
