Apparently the kittens came from a trailer that had three litters living there. Presumably the geography of the names would be more coherent across all three litters. Derby was apparently originally Derbyshire, but was renamed, because there was already a Derbyshire in the database. One day they're going to have to switch to numbers. Gwent is half again as big as the rest, and much more coordinated, enough to make me think maybe they got the litters mixed up. Derby actually showed signs of sitting on me voluntarily this evening, or at least finding me an acceptable route to where she was headed. _

Dumfries grips
Dumfries climbed the big scratching post, and sat on top of it, falling asleep and showing signs of toppling over. When I attempted to lift him off, he dug in and cried. Occasionally he would look down mournfully. I ended up turning it upside down, it seemed like the only option.

One of them has been sick, I suspect Dumfries. _
