Crane Beach, without seagull
There was a seagull right in the middle of this picture. About 5 pixels across at full resolution, a white speck, just big enough to grab the eye. I painted it out, and now it's gone. I feel strangely as though I killed it.

We bought the new car 6 years and 1 day after the old one. This alarms me a little bit, it makes me feel at the mercy of the seasons. It cost $44.60 more. We used up $5.71 of farfegnugen every day we owned the Golf. (not counting repairs). I feel appropriately guilty not using the rest of it up, but the check engine light, it upset me.

Demon Squirrel of Decordova
He was in the tree next to the metal sculpture with aluminum rods of various lengths designed to be hit with sticks. Different sticks gave very different tones, different octaves. And if you concentrated on a single rod, some of the others would vibrate in sympathy, while others wouldn't. Very neat.
