Tim's Bloglet

Taken by Erika. The carp were playing in the drainage ditch here, and were deeper than it was. _

"You have found the secret hole! Hooray!"
If you don't believe me, it's on the south side of Beacon street around Park. Also, hollow bricks are lame. _

Other people have more energy than I, or perhaps are better organized. _

My second favorite tree in Arlington. This picture was taken at entirely the wrong time of day. I have absolutely no idea what the correct time to photograph the dratted plants is, but this wasn't it. _

I need someone to grouse with at work. A director just asked a question that, well, I'm having difficulty bending my mind around where they must be, conceptually, to ask it, and I have no one to complain to. Not a soul. _

An excuse for the lack of photographs: My monitor isn't happy. There's a crack in the case, and it occasionally goes loopy. Hitting it repeatedly works well, but must not be good for it. It's been getting worse lately, with more partial wierdness. But it still works, and it's still a flat screen, and I couldn't possibly go back to a regular monitor, because I'd have to clean up my desk. _

We've now been married 5 years. More importantly, it's been a year since she came home.

There's been an elephant in the blog for the past year. Last year, E had a spectacular, terrifying manic episode. Twice in the past year she has lost her connection to the world, and twice she's come back for me. I haven't talked about it because, well, because you don't. But I think that's wrong, that we don't, so I'm going to. Most of the thoughts I have had in the past year touch on it in some way, so I've kept them off the blog. No more. She is a saint, and has nothing to be ashamed of. It's a long story, and I'll be telling it in pieces. _
