When Madonna's "Ray of Light" was new, I thought the lyrics were, "And I feel like a disco ball." Someone eventually set me straight, but I still sing it the old way because I like it better. Imagine being a disco ball, reflecting light from every angle.

Things that made me happy yesterday:
*Wearing my purple velvet mary janes with rainbow socks
*The "Sale: extreeemly effective mosquito repellant $1" T-shirt that Cait gave me
*Purple mardi gras beads from some of the shelter hosts in Baton Rouge looped into a four ringed bracelet
*A big cup of coffee that did not upset my stomach later
*Getting out of work early and getting to Sarah's craft party sooner than we'd expected to
*Seeing Sarah, who is a lovely friend and a wonderful hostess
*Making fun things while talking to other people who were also making fun things
*Not feeling horribly nervouswhile at a social gathering
*Yummy sushi
*A warm bath before bed
*Not having to set the alarm

Most people who have slept in the same room as me for any significant period of time have probably seen me jump out of bed in a blind panic, convinced a spider was about to attack me. I have these recurring spider stress dreams, see. But I think it may be a sign I am stressing out a bit more than usual when I jump out of bed screaming and then, once awake, cry uncontrollably for a quarter of an hour. Something needs to change.

*Turn Shower curtain around the right way I put it up backwards and only noticed last night that that was the problem. It has words on it see, which I'd been reading backwards and wondering about why they looked off somehow.
*Vacuum the bedroom and living room
*Figure out exactly what we need (and where to buy it) in order to fix the toilet Looks like we need a new flapper and chain, which are cheap, but we'll have to figure out how to turn off the water and install it properly. We could also really stand to clean out the inside of the toilet tank... Have to figure out what the best way to do that might be.
*Go through at least one box of papers
*Take care of at least three pieces of pressing correspondence

So we have a PS2 and we have a tv to hook it up to and a cart to put them both on, and we have a copy of We Love Katamari, and 2 controllers and a 64MB memory card. We should be all set to enjoy our hard earned Day Off. Except... The PS2 dosn't seem to recognize the memory card. Has anyone else out there encountered this problem? It's no good not to be able to save games. Help!
