Judith Adam smoked a cigar at the blackjack table. Demurely, naturally.

Queen John sang "My Way". No sign of Lawnmower.

Come with me to the Casbah... (little red fezzes on the dealers, except my precept tutor; too dignified, one supposes. prat.)

Patsy Cline and... Tiger... something... good, damn good, anyway.

Bossa-Nova Dance Exhibition by Giovanna and her ripple-suit boy. Marvelous.

The tarot cards gave me all swords, save the two of pentacles, the hermit, and some cup or other. So I drew it on her, Shhhhnizzatt!

I lost about $10. Could have won it back, since we started draw after that long dead stretch of stud, but it closed down. Secret is, I figured out, hit the tables early when they're full of chips and reckless. Not as drunk, but still. A waitress thought I asked for booze, so I sipped what she gave me, and BLEAGH.

Every time it went to the school, Johnny did not have anything better in the sense, than into the sky to look and after the by-pulling clouds nevertheless which was situated before it, on the way the considered Johnny never. Thus everyone called: "see there the Johnny, Johnny, to the small Johnny Gluck in those air!"

Wenn der Hans zur Schule ging,
Stets sein Blick am Himmel hing.
Nach den Dächern, Wolken, Schwalben
Schaut er aufwärts allenthalben:
Vor die eignen Füße dicht,
Ja, da sah der Bursche nicht,
Also daß ein jeder ruft:
"Seht den Hans Gluck-in-die-Luft!"

At least this one rhymes. Less delicious, though. _

Immer wenn er zur Schule ging,
hatte Johnny nichts besseres im Sinn,
als in den Himmel zu schauen
und nach den vorbeiziehenden Wolken
Doch das was vor ihm lag,
auf dem Weg
das beachtete Johnny nie.
Also rief ein jeder:
"Seht den Johnny, Johnny da,
den kleinen Johnny Gluck-in-die-Luft!" _
